Your Visit · What to Expect

Unhurried, fully clothed, and gentle — with your comfort first.

What a session is like, how you may feel afterward, how many visits it can take, and how fees work.

During a session

Sessions are typically sixty minutes and blend several techniques. Everything I practice is gentle — most clients can’t tell when I move from one technique to another, as they flow together seamlessly. You stay fully dressed in loose, comfortable clothing and lie face-up on the table. I begin by feeling the rhythm of the nervous system and the pliability of the connective tissue throughout the body, to find where the adhesions might be. Once I’ve found them, I get to work.

After the session

Most people feel very relaxed right afterward. The real changes are usually felt a day or two later, as the body integrates the work and adjusts the bones and tissue as needed. Some people feel a little sore the next day; it typically eases within about 24 hours, and they feel much better.

How many sessions?

It’s hard to say in advance. Some people feel completely better after one session; others need more. On average it takes three to eight sessions to reduce or resolve symptoms. I have no wish to waste your time or money — so if we’re not seeing progress after three sessions, I’ll say so, and we’ll decide together whether it’s worth continuing.

Fees

I don’t publish my rates here — please email me for current rates. I’m not able to work on a sliding scale.

Insurance

I don’t accept insurance. If you have a Flex Spending or Health Savings Account, or out-of-network benefits, I can provide a receipt so you can seek reimbursement.
